Sharper individuals may of noticed that the distances we travel using the engines in that game would require earth to be a flat low gravity disk as if it was fractured. For some reason they don't use prox-fuse shells during the AA defense and don't use planes to intercept missiles. An all-arounder fleet implies weak armor, dense internal structure, bad weapon angles, low amount of Sprints and an overall poor design. They are because the AI cannot work with heterogeneous fleets and detachments. Their ships have miserably low tonnage for the task of downing your whole fleet SGs suck due to the plenty of reasons leaving away the player's skill: If not fighting the last SGs, engaging with Sevastopol will be probably cheaper than a proper amount of Kh-15.īut I generally agree, once you learn how to deal with missiles (A100s ftw) and get decent at combat, SGs aren't that big of a threat unless three of them gang up on you (and even then you can often retreat and engage them on your own terms) That's a good and skillful strategy to keep you flagship away, but Sev is the player's most powerful asset at the beginning and using it in artillery duel is viable. I pretty much never use the Sevastopol in combat, it's just so slow, repair times are super long and refitting it to be faster takes forever. Maybe I mistook a nomad for a Varyag, though. If I got it correctly, each SG has at least one missile ship and randomly samples the rest. Nomad and 2-3 Gryphons and I've definitely had them fire 6+ cruise missiles at me. I've shared my thoughts with the devs, but they are also keeping low profile for last few days and don't answer to anyone at Steam threads. Damn, even a single Varyag brought me more problems than any SG, that's a shame. This looks like something that is really meant to strike you and to destroy your fleet instead of sucking in few missiles before disappearing from radar.Ĭurrent SGs can do nothing against missiles/airstrikes and can be downed by Sevastopol in solo. I'm seeing SG as a heterogeneous fleet (cruisers, carriers, missile boats, AA ships) which is well-protected from planes/missiles, with enough of punch to down Sevastopol in CQC and with enough of strategic assets to not let it come close cheaply. This implies the poor AA defense (Cormorans/Negevs/Gryphons carry a really small amount of Sprints), low missile ammo (Gryphon and Nomad carry only 2 Kh-15s), absence of any other strategic assets and weakness in CC (Nomads are lategame and I've never seen more than one in SG, the rest is few-shot for Seva-chad). Enemy strike fleets are typically composed only of several weaker cruisers. I'm not talking about shipworks, I'm talking about fleet compositions.
